Excerpt from The Theory and Design of a Centrifugal Pump: Thesis for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; College of Engineering, University of Illinois, 1911As the theory of centrifugal pump design has only recently reached its present degree of perfection, and as compar atively little has been written in English upon the subject, the design of such a pump presents an original and interesting problen In order to approach the problem from the practical side, it was deemed advisable to select such data as might come to tte hand of a modern pump manufacturer.
